Getting Candid: February Spend
First, I love when bloggers are candid about both income and expenses. I do not know if it is because I love numbers, or because I am naturally nosey. Either way, here I am airing out my own spending dirty laundry on the internet. I hope I do not regret this. LOL
If you read several weeks ago, I penned a post discussing budget and how not only creating but adhering to them is important. Although I tightened the purse strings after the post, I caved for several President’s Day deals. However, there is method to my madness, as I only purchased items that I identified as needing (read wanting) for my Spring Capsule Wardrobe. Despite that, I decided to restart and lengthen my No-Buy hiatus for the ENTIRE month of March. Adios Mio. Truthfully, I did it to myself, so here we are.
I am also here to acknowledge my shopaholic tendencies and admit to total purchases for February. I will provide you with the trust Accounting Countess Formula:
Purchased – Returned= Net Spend
** Disclosure, this is my personal spend that I have decided is within my budget parameters for my financial situation. If you were concerned (which you should not be), none of this is funded by debt instruments, nor does it tap into our necessity spending. I understand this might not be reasonable for everyone, but it works for our family. **
*Indicates that it has been purchased, but not received. These purchases are for future content that I have up my sleeve.
As you will see, I decided to forgo replacing the Abercrombie Wide Leg in a larger size (I purchased in my normal size 6). and opted to procure a more investment wide leg pant from Spanx. I am looking for the perfect navy wide leg, so when the Abercrombie pant squeezed my mid section, I looked for a sucked me in option. As far as the other items, I have worn each of them already. The cardigans are the winners this month, as they are so versaitle and easy to throw on. For me, I think cardigans, jackets, blazers make an entire outfit, so these are necessities in my wardrobe. I procured colorways that I did not have to increase the range of my workwear while also being cognizant of buying pieces that can transition from workwear to casual.
Let me know in comments if you want me to continuing sharing going forward. XO
