Part One: Foundation

Creating a capsule begins with building a foundation. We will utilize the analogy of building a home to explain capsule curation. Similar to a home that begins with a foundation through forms and rebar to ensure stability, we too will begin by purchasing or identifying several base pieces. For my personal capsule, I have separated my overall closet into two subsets: workwear and casual wear. Many pieces can be mixed and matched for both work and play, yet it is important to have the proper pieces for each occasion.
