Capsule Wardrobe: Spring Edition
As we gear up for the final month of cold-ish temperatures in Texas, it is high time to consider my spring capsule wardrobe. You certainly do not need these pieces specifically, but it is a simple illustration of the possibilities that you can create with 2 casual x 2 workwear pieces for bottoms, tops, outerwear, and shoes paired. I opted to add two accessory options as well, including a casual and more formal option.
For spring styling, I find it easiest to work with black, white, and nude, plus my favorite color blue. Typically, blue is one of the few colors I add to my wardrobe, especially for spring and summer looks. For spring season, I also love including another neutral, heather grey, which pairs well with all the above and adds a touch of brightness in contrast to darker winter tones. Regarding blouse cuts, I chose both long sleeve and short sleeve variants to allow for weather fluctuations. In outerwear, I selected similar colors option as the blouses to make it easier for outfits to be interchangeable . For shoes, I opted for two stark colors, white and black, and two neutral tones to easily mix and match. Finally for pants, I simply picked a dark and light wash jean as well as a neutral and black slack.
I hope you enjoy my capsule and it helps you fine tune your personal wardrobe for spring with pieces you have or are eyeing!
